Support for Chronic Health Difficulties

Living with chronic health difficulties can be exhausting—not just physically, but emotionally and mentally as well. These conditions often bring uncertainty, isolation, and a sense of loss, especially when symptoms are invisible, fluctuating, or misunderstood.

In therapy, I provide a supportive space where your experience is believed and understood. We work together to navigate the emotional impact of chronic illness—grief, anxiety, identity shifts, and the stress of living with ongoing, unpredictable symptoms. I draw on a compassionate, trauma-informed approach that may include pacing strategies, mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and tools for emotional resilience.

Psychotherapy can also support healing through the mind-body connection. Research shows that stress, trauma, and emotional overwhelm can amplify physical symptoms. By working to calm the nervous system, reduce emotional distress, and build a sense of safety and self-compassion, therapy may help reduce symptom severity in some cases and improve your overall sense of well-being.
